2016 Museum Nights Programme at the Modern Gallery

To mark the cultural event Museum Nights, on Friday, January 29, the Modern Gallery will be open for visitors from 6 pm to 1 am; during this period, entrance there will be no charge for entrance.  On this occasion, pupils of the Applied Arts and Design School, the 5th High School and the Serbian Orthodox General High School of Zagreb, schools that have an ongoing programme of cooperation with the Gallery in the Ten Schools – Ten Artisteducational project, will guide visitors through the permanent display Croatian Fine Arts from the 19th to the 21st century.  As well as the permanent display, visitors will be able to view the special section dedicated to Josip Juraj Strossmayer through the Gallery’s possessions of works with figure of bishop by painters  Ivan Simonetti , Vlaho Bukovac, skulptor Rudolf Valdec  and medalist Francesco Bianchi , Johann Christlbauer, Rudolf Marschall and Ivan Kerdić from 1881 to 1920.
