Workshops at the Modern Gallery in October

Programme of Art Workshops in the Modern Gallery in October and November

Join us in the permanent exhibition of the Modern Gallery for the workshops:

1st Workshop: Recollections

Friday, October 2, from 5 pm to 6.30 pm

What are your earliest memories? What are the nicest? What important event can you remember?

We shall find out in the permanent exhibition of the Modern Gallery what the memories of artists of the Gallery are and how they have been represented.

We shall try to recall and make use of our own memories as inspiration for creative expression.

Technique: collage paper

Age group: from 6 to 16

2nd Workshop: I Agree

Saturday, October 3, 11.30 am to 1 pm

At this sculptural workshop through the game of putting things together we shall explore all the possibilities of making a work of sculpture by construction.  The starting point and motivation will be the sculptural work of Petar Barišić, Složenica.

Technique: coloured straws

Age group: from 7 to 18

Workshop 3 Topsy-Turvy Dogs and Cats

Saturday October 10, 11.30 am to 1 pm

Valerije Michiel forms his sculptures in an interesting manner, and he determined to turn his dog sculptures upside down. What would it be like if we modelled all our sculptures upside down? That’s what we’ll test out in the workshop.

Technique: clay modelling

Age group: from 4 to 10
