Opening of the second exhibition in the In Focus series in the Modern Gallery

On Thursday, May 12, the second exhibition in the In Focus series was opened in the Modern Gallery. This is a series in which Modern Gallery curators have the opportunity to draw attention to particularly important works from the Gallery’s holdings that are nevertheless little or not at all known to the general public. The paintings Boulogne Port, 1929, and Sailor and Ship, 1929, by Frans Masereel (1889-1972), Belgian painter and printmaker who worked in France, the whole of his career being marked by social engagement, were introduced by Dajana Vlaisavljević, museum advisor of the Modern Gallery.
