Tomislav Čeranić, Plein Air

From 11 March to 4 April, the National Museum of Modern Art presents, in its “Josip Račić” Studio, an exhibition of the internationally renowned artist from Šibenik, Tomislav Čeranić. Conceived by Željko Marciuš, the National Museum of Modern Art’s museum advisor, the exhibition will showcase 15 drawings in pencil on paper, from the series Plein Air created in 2014 and 2015, to the cultural audience in Zagreb.

In the foreword of the accompanying catalogue Željko Marciuš writes -With hybrid visualisations deviating towards the classical canon, and systems of fibres and bundles, nodes and intersections of mutually intertwined space-time, Čeranić embodies drawings that belong to both the past and the present. They are crystal cool visions and strategies of plein air wonders.
